Bill DeWitt, III

Board Member

Bill DeWitt III was named President of the St. Louis Cardinals in March of 2008. In his role as team President, DeWitt oversees all aspects of the business of the team and its affiliated entities, which include stakes in the Memphis Redbirds, Springfield Cardinals, Palm Beach Cardinals, Fox Sports Midwest, and Ballpark Village.

DeWitt led the effort to develop Ballpark Village, a $400 million mixed-use development adjacent to Busch Stadium. The second phase of Ballpark Village, which includes a hotel, office tower, health club, residential tower, and retail, will be fully open in the Spring of 2020.

Prior to his appointment as team President, DeWitt was Sr. Vice President of Business Development with the Cardinals and oversaw the design and construction of the new Busch Stadium and Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter Fl.

DeWitt is a graduate of Yale University and Harvard Business School. He is chairman of the Board of Cardinals Care and is active with several local civic organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Regional Chamber, the Gateway Arch Park Foundation, and the latest Downtown Now strategic plan.

DeWitt and his wife, Ira, live in St. Louis with their two children - daughter Natalie (20) and son, Will (17). Bill is an avid golfer and ice hockey player.
